About the Course

Course aim

To provide Consultant General Anaesthetists, particularly those with on-call responsibilities and having to undertake obstetric and paediatric procedures with a practical and comprehensive course covering the full range of obstetric and paediatric anaesthesia that we need to know, especially when on call at the DGH.

More about the course

This new Infomed course has been organised in response to suggestions and feedback from many general anaesthetists, from a wide range of settings, who have attended Infomed events in the recent past.

Lectures will be delivered by a Faculty of established, practicing consultant anaesthetists, experts in their fields, with long and extensive experience in advancing the knowledge and skills of peers nationally and internationally.

This course is aimed at Consultant General Anaesthetists, particularly those with on-call responsibilities based at the DGHs, whom are having to undertake obstetric and paediatric procedures.

This course presents delegates with an opportunity to have a comprehensive review of the challenging topics that would allow them to gain a fuller understanding of recent advances in anaesthetic practice.

Delegates will be provided with a comprehensive overview of new/recent evidence (and insights into the implications for practice) that will allow them to identify skills and knowledge gaps, if any, relevant to their practice and clear ways by which these can be addressed. Very importantly, delegates will gain greater confidence in their current practice and/or identified areas of practice in need of review or change.
