1st CPR - thinking beyond the manual!

A unique one day course on the complexities of the cardiac arrest and post
resuscitation decision-making process faced by the “hands on clinician”

organised on Wednesday 17th January 2007
at the Hotel Russell, Russell Square, London WC1B 5BE
 

Infomed’s first event on CPR attracted almost 100 attendees from a wide range of specialities, including consultants in Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine as well as a number of Resuscitation Officers.

What three things
did you like most about the day?
  • Good speakers - very approachable, credible, common sense approach.
  • Excellent, interesting and eminent speakers
  • Hearing experts in the field of resuscitation, emergency technology, basic life support
  • A&E, ITU officers speaking and good to see resuscitation officers, represented
    at a resus conference and on the faculty!
  • CD great idea, good to keep
  • Variety of lectures, obvious knowledge and expertise of the speakers, the friendly manner of the organisers
  • Interesting topics covered, relevant to my job, reinforcement of what we teach, evidence of up to date guidelines
  • Well organised, central venue, nice lunch, good timings - really enjoyed it
  • Broad range of presentations, new knowledge to advance practice
  • Good to find out what is happening elsewhere, good networking, nice venue, good food

What three things
would have made the day better for you?

  • A bigger and more comfortable room
  • The technological hitches were a pain, but
    it happens – next time a better projector!
  • More interaction and time for questions and answers
  • Would like more information on decision making in hospital patients prior to arrest
  • More on new developments
  • Shorter day, more questions and answers, shorter presentations
  • Slightly shorter lecturers, reduced time allocated for lunch, shorter day, possibly finish by 4.30
  • Easier access to coffee and more room for networking
